  1. Melanie…Joan, your words ring so true. I know the only way I am getting through this pain is with God’s help. After four years I still have the extreme hard days when I don’t want to believe it. I am blessed to be involved in a group of Mother’s who have lost a child. We are able to share our stories about our children and not feel so alone. this too makes a big difference in going through the journey. God’s blessings to you.

  2. Reblogged this on Grief: One Woman's Perspective and commented:
For a parent whose child has died, I don’t think this ever stops. Even these sixteen years later, people would be surprised how difficult it is and how much effort it takes some days to get up in the morning and keep on trying. I do find myself trying my hardest every day. It can be exhausting, but we do it for those we love and in honor and memory of our beloved child.

    1. Thank you Joan. What a precious blessing to speak over me. I appreciate it so very much. I’m sure the Lord will meet me where I am-not every day is like this, but some still are. ❤
