I’m ending Bereaved Parents Month by sharing this post because I still have moments when I marvel that I’ve survived.
❤
It was the question I asked the bereaved mother that came to my son’s funeral.
It was the question a mother asked me as we stood by her granddaughter’s casket, surrounded by family and flowers.
And it is the right question.
Because when the breath leaves the body of your child, and you look down at the shell that used to be the home of a vibrant, living soul, you simply can. not. breathe.

As a grandparent! It probably was the worst week I could ever imagine!
On July 23rd my son Brandon lost his son and we lost a grandson! Getting ready to start his Junior in high school! His life cut short! Words really can’t explain how I feel!
Four days later my daughter Annisa lost her son! And we lost another grandson. A young man that had away to make you laugh after he just pull a prank on you!
We miss them both very much! And our hearts go out to my children that suffer this lost! But though it all! God has given me peace when I need it!
