Some Things I Wish I’d Known

I’ve written before that I am oh, so thankful I had NO IDEA Dominic would leave us that early April morning in 2014.

It would have cast an awful shadow over all those years we were blessed with his presence.

But there are some things I wish I’d known.

  1. Melanie,
Thank you so much for all your writings, that encourage our hurting hearts. It has been 7 years and 3 months since our dear Anneka 17 & Landon 13 ran ahead to heaven, we long for them each day, but God has given us strength through His word and others to keep going, keep loving, keep serving. And in doing so He has helped us to find true joy again. Have you compiled your writings into a book? I think you should, you have a beautiful gift of words❤️ Blessings to you

  2. Dear dear Melanie
I have been following you for 5 years .
Sharing your struggles and your heart has
Gotten me through so many days knowing I wasn’t alone in the darkness of child loss .
We lost our son Paul on Easter Day April 5 2015 in a hit and run . Paul was a Shining Light to All who were lucky to know him .
Paul was home from college for Easter weekend just a few months from turning 21 . This season very very tough . Prayers to us both as we struggle through 🙏.
