Talk is cheap.
So many folks think posting a meme or retweeting a catchy phrase is the same as acting on what they believe
It’s not.
If the only action you take to advance the values you claim to hold dear is a few keystrokes behind the safety of a screen I question your commitment.
Don’t tell me you love your neighbor when you don’t know his name.
Get up off the couch and make a difference.
Can I change the world? Probably not.
But I can change my corner of it.
Can I help everyone? No.
But I can help someone.
This is an old story, but it’s true:
Perfectly said! Thank you Melanie. Sending you hugs. Ann

Melanie, you like to know what I’m listening to so here goes: This week I’ve been listening to Levi Lusko, Pastor of Fresh Life Church in Montana. His adorable little girl Lenya died from an asthma attack. I’ve ordered his book ‘Through the eyes of a Lion’ and I hope to review it in due course. He talks about his bereavement in this message series:

Thanks, Vicky-I’ve got the book and started reading it. For some reason I’ve lost my ability to just sit and read a whole book at once. But I’m working on it. I would love to hear your opinion of it and will check out the sermon series!

Melanie, grief has affected my concentration and attention span big time. Some books take me months to read. I often listen to the same podcasts several times too, to let them sink in. Hugs to you. ❤️

Me too- I think I first heard it in grade school and always found it inspiring. Especially when I feel unable to do much, I think, “But I can do THIS.”
