I am a shepherd, wife and mother of four amazing children, three that walk the earth with me and one who lives with Jesus. This is a record of my grief journey and a look into the life I didn't choose. My 3 year old’s father sued me for her death (a rollover in which I was driving) after leaving during the pregnancy for another woman. My sisters testified against me in a custody battle that took years to resolve and eventually went to the Supreme Court. Many years have passed, but it took much forgiveness on my part and years for my sisters to realize the damage they had done and the lack of support. My mother supported my ex-husband, while my father supported me. We would sneak phone calls when she was out having her hair done on Saturdays. The fabric of what a family consists of shows up at a time when you could use support, and sadly some get antagonism and hatred as their grief response. And anytime the law is involved, they seek to pin ‘negligence’ on someone. His faithfulness thru a horrible journey is all that got me thru. Even tho my faith took some redefining, it was been my refuge as I pressed in.
